Ananta Medicare participated in the scientific and practical conference “MODERN UROLOGY. LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT MATTERS” organized by the NGO “National Educational Platform for Urologists and Nephrologists of Ukraine”

The high prevalence of urological diseases remains a pressing concern in modern healthcare. One of the most common urological conditions is urolithiasis, or kidney stone disease — a disorder characterized by the formation of stones in the urinary tract. According to global statistics, 1–3% of the world’s population is affected by this condition, with its prevalence directly linked to the region’s climate, the composition of drinking water, and dietary habits. Contributing factors also include congenital and acquired abnormalities of the urinary system, metabolic disorders, sedentary lifestyle, frequent infections, and even genetic predisposition.

According to experts (Nikitin, O., et al., 2023), urolithiasis ranks second among urological diseases in Ukraine, accounting for 30% to 45% of all urological pathologies, with more than 52,000 new cases registered annually.

Urolithiasis has significant social implications, with around 55% of patients reporting a serious decline in quality of life, especially during periods of exacerbation. Its chronic nature, frequent recurrence, and the risk of severe complications — such as pyelonephritis, hydronephrosis, or renal failure — highlight the importance of timely diagnosis and the development of effective preventive strategies.

On May 20, 2025, within the framework of the scientific and practical conference “MODERN UROLOGY. LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT MATTERS,” specialists from leading nephro-urological centers in Ukraine gathered to discuss current issues in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases. The event focused on modern approaches to managing inflammatory conditions of the urinary system, nephrolithiasis, male fertility, and prostate disorders. As part of a knowledge-sharing initiative, an educational masterclass was held for physicians from various specialties — urologists, nephrologists, sexologists, family doctors, and others.

A presentation on modern principles of urolithiasis prevention was delivered by Dmytro Shchukin, MD, Professor of the Department of Urology, Nephrology and Andrology at Kharkiv National Medical University. In his lecture, the speaker provided a detailed overview of the etiology and pathogenesis of kidney stone disease, emphasized the critical role of diet as a major risk factor for stone formation, and focused on the importance of preventive measures, including the experience of using the phyto-mineral complex NOKAMEN in patients prone to stone formation. Professor Shchukin paid particular attention to the well-balanced natural composition of NOKAMEN, which enables multimodal support for the urinary system by combining litholytic, antioxidant, and nephroprotective effects.

NOKAMEN is a comprehensive herbal and mineral complex whose biologically active ingredients support kidney function in conditions associated with inflammation and stone formation in the urinary tract.
