XV International Congress on Rehabilitation in Medicine and Immunerehabilitation

XV International Congress on Rehabilitation in Medicine and Immunerehabilitation was held on April 24-27, 2010 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

The report of research workers of the Department of internal medicine No 2 and Department of clinical immunology and allergology, prof. Babadzhan V.D. and prof. Kravchun P.G., and doctor-allergist of the Municipal hospital No 27, Asyki I.A. on the topic “Peculiarities of cytokine regulation at polynosis, possibilities of medicamentous correction” was included into scientific program of the congress and presented on April 26. The participation of scientists from our country at this congress was sponsored by the company “Аnanta Medicare”.

The congress was organized by World Immunopathology Organization, World Allergology Organization, European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, and International Asthma Assosiation. Leading scientists, immunologists and allergists from Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia presented their reports at the congress; among others they were Professor Walter Canonica, Italy, with his report “Patients’ attitude towards their state and peculiarities of bronchial asthma course at different variants of long-term inhalation therapy”, Professor Ronald Dale, Denmark, with his report “Structure and function of lungs, new possibilities of chronic obstructive lung disease treatment”, Professor Ignacio Asotegi, Spain, with his report “Why allergy spreads? New possibilities of treatment” and others.

At the congress there were discussed the results of recent studies in mechanisms of allergic process development, bronchial obstruction, role of regulatory cells, new possibilities of sublingual therapy of polynosis and bronchial asthma with allergens, possibilities of stem cell use for treatment of Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, chronic inflammation processes of bronchopulmonary system, immunoglobulin E antibodies, interleukin 2, 4, and 5, interrelation between immunotherapy and pharmacotherapy.

Thereby participation in the XV International Congress on Rehabilitation in Medicine and Immune rehabilitation, which was held on April 24-27, 2010 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was very useful for clarification of scientific achievements in allergology and immunology and possibilities of their clinical application
