New express-test for cancer is designed

It is known that the key to successful treatment of cancer is a timely diagnosis of the disease. However, the reality is that the most common and most dangerous types of cancer tumors are detected at later stages, making the treatment ineffective, and sometimes useless. But thanks to a new invention of scientists, now we have a chance to detect cancer before the onset of symptoms.

The fast and simple test for tumors was presented by the scientists at Swansea Science Festival in the UK. The test indicates red blood cells’ alterations that occur in the human body when the cancer cells present.

The scientists have noted the particular importance of the fact that the test can detect cancer before its first symptoms. The scientists say: "Identifying the early stage of the tumor, while it has not yet spread to rest of the organs, and has not affected the vital functions of the body, increases the chances of a full recovery of the patient".
